By Jarrod Jones. AfterShock Comics have released their May 2018 solicits and covers out into the wild, and we’re beginning to see a recurring motif beginning to take shape. Walk with us; let’s see if you spot it.

First we have Dark Ark, a story where an evil sorcerer watches over the world’s monsters amid a Biblical flood. Then there’s Babyteeth, a book about the ding-dang Anti-christ. A new series from Lonnie Nadler, Zac Thompson, and Kyle Charles about a journey through Hell? Called Her Infernal Descent. And making its debut in May, an all-new series from Preacher writer Garth Ennis and Hellblazer artist Goran Sudžuka titled — wait for it — A Walk Through Hell.

Heck, check the new Cullen Bunn/Mirko Colak/Maria Santaolall joint, The Brothers Dracul. And we wouldn’t dare forget the latest Pestilence series, named A Story of Satan.

Now I’m not one to check nail polish shades mind you, but I’m pretty sure AfterShock head honchos Mike Marts and Joe Pruett have a date with the night this May. Go snag your best gear, the ones with the snaps and chains ‘n’ such, and get an eye-full of what AfterShock Comics has in store for your this May.

From AfterShock Comics: NEW SERIES!

So these two FBI agents walk into a warehouse…

Special Agents Shaw and McGregor handle the routine cases nowadays, which is just the way Shaw likes it. She’s pushing 40, a borderline burnout, the ghastly memories of her last investigation still clinging like shadows. McGregor is younger, more dedicated, hanging onto some measure of idealism whatever the world might throw at him.

When two fellow agents go missing inside a Long Beach warehouse, Shaw and McGregor are sent to investigate. But what they find waiting is far from routine, as the local police have already discovered to their cost. Before the night is out, our heroes will encounter terror beyond their most appalling nightmares—in a place where the night may never end at all.

A new kind of horror story for modern America, written by Garth Ennis (‘Preacher’, ‘The Boys’, ‘Crossed’) and drawn by Goran Sudžuka (‘Y: The Last Man’, ‘Hellblazer’)
