It’s that time of year again, where our stalwart team takes some much-deserved time off to be with their families, catch up on their Netflix queues (are they still called that?), and generally remember what it’s like to read a comic book without the creeping feeling of a deadline breathing its arctic breath down their necks. We’re taking the month off, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy DoomRocket!
For instance, are you following us on Twitter and/or Facebook? We’ll be sharing our best reviews and interviews throughout December, so if you’re on the look-out for book recommendations or even awesome gift ideas for the holidays, we got you! And even though this month is technically our “break month”, that shouldn’t suggest that there isn’t new content coming down the pike for you to enjoy!
Take this zarjaz preview of 2000 AD‘s bumper prog, for instance. 16 pages of brand-new comics packed with Thrill-power! (What, did you think I was going to break our preview streak with the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic? Quaequam Blag!) Expect even more previews from the various books and projects we’re excited to check out in the weeks to come. But that’s not all!
CASUAL WEDNESDAYS returns tomorrow with a brand-new episode detailing this ludicrously huge week in comics! (Are you subscribed yet? If not, let’s fix that!) And do not miss our YEAR IN REVIEW — our annual Best-of feature launches Wednesday, December 26 with an even newer episode of CasWed (I’m the only person who calls it that, probably). MJ & I will be discussing “The Year That Was” — and dropping the first of our Best-of lists, as well!
Keep those eyes peeled the following Thursday and Friday, because 2018’s YEAR IN REVIEW promises to be the best one yet! Also, make sure you’re there for our YEAR TO COME feature during the beginning of January, where we profess our undiluted excitement for the new comics coming our way in 2019!
And since we’re already talking and we’re such good friends (hey, how are you, anyway?), I have something special to share with you right now, this minute. Sitting down? Hydrated?

We’re entering our sixth year this July, and while I’m still kind of dizzy after typing the first half of this sentence (six years! waugh!), I’m hearty enough to bestow unto you my undying gratitude and appreciation. Without you, we wouldn’t be here. So, thank you.
