By Jarrod Jones. Even though we live in a world where Hollywood’s sole function is to bend to the will of all comic book fans, it took a long time — and so many bad movies — to get here.

Reminding us of the dark age that was 2003 — where apparently there was once a band called Hoobastank — is the awesome crew over at Screen Junkies, whose Honest Trailers habitually skewer films most of us would otherwise prefer to forget.

With Netflix and Marvel Studios releasing the full first season of Daredevil on April 10, Screen Junkies turns their eyes towards Mark Steven Johnson’s lamentable first crack at ol’ HornHead in order to achieve some much-needed catharsis. Picking on the film’s easier targets (like Colin Farrell’s Bullseye, whose forehead is an actual target) doesn’t seem to be the trailer’s primary focus; rather it takes a moment to consider what is ostensibly Ben Affleck’s demo reel audition for the Batman, and that works out about as well as you’d expect.

If you’ve ever sat through 2003’s Daredevil, you owe it to yourself to take five minutes and have a well-deserved laugh.
